QC Strategic Levels is a volume-confirmed zone detection indicator that identifies high-probability reversal zones using Change of Character (CHOCH) analysis combined with volume ratio filtering. Unlike price-action-only zone indicators, Strategic Levels requires significant volume imbalance to confirm zone validity, ensuring zones represent areas where real institutional interest exists.
Zones are only created when buy/sell volume ratio exceeds configured thresholds, filtering out weak price movements and focusing on areas with genuine institutional backing.
How It Works
QC Strategic Levels uses Change of Character (CHOCH) analysis combined with volume confirmation to identify high-probability reversal zones. The system only creates zones when volume ratio meets minimum thresholds, ensuring zones represent genuine institutional interest rather than weak price movements.
Each zone includes a Strategic Reversal Level (SRL) - a horizontal line marking the optimal entry point within the zone, providing precise entry guidance for traders.

- Volume Ratio Confirmation
Zones are only created when buy/sell volume ratio exceeds configured thresholds, ensuring zones represent genuine institutional interest rather than weak price movements, significantly improving signal quality.
- Strategic Reversal Level (SRL)
Each zone includes a horizontal line marking the strategic reversal level - the lowest point of red candles for bullish zones or highest point of green candles for bearish zones. This level represents the optimal entry point within the zone.
- Zone Type Differentiation
Green boxes: First bullish zone after bearish structure. Blue boxes: Subsequent bullish zones (continuation). Red boxes: First bearish zone after bullish structure. Orange boxes: Subsequent bearish zones (continuation). This helps traders understand trend context.
- Full Zone Visualization
Option to show only the trigger candle or extend zones to include all consecutive opposing candles, providing better visual context of the zone's origin and helping traders understand zone strength.
- Automatic Zone Merging
Overlapping zones are automatically merged into single zones with updated SRL calculations, preventing chart clutter and ensuring clean visual presentation.
- Zone Invalidation
Zones are automatically removed from active tracking when price breaks through them (bullish zones broken below, bearish zones broken above), though they remain visible on chart for historical reference.
Usage Guide
- Configure lookback period and volume ratio thresholds to match your trading style
- Choose visualization mode:
- Show Full Zones: Includes all consecutive opposing candles
- Show Trigger Only: Shows only the trigger candle
- Monitor Strategic Reversal Levels for optimal entries within zones
